CONFERENCE
"Gender Mainstreaming in Media – Experiences from the Region".
In the period from 4 to 5
February 2009, “United Women” Banja Luka organized the Conference with title
"Gender Mainstreaming in Media – Experiences from the Region".
Introductory speakers at the
Conference were women experts from Sweden, Germany, Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia
and Herzegovina. There were thirty – eight (38) women and men participants at
the Conference, representatives of nongovernmental organizations, media, public
institutions, and women politicians and parliamentarians from Bosnia and
Herzegovina and the region.
Objective of the Conference
was creating a space for exchange of experiences between women and men
participants from the Balkan region, namely Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and
Croatia, as well as two countries of the European Union – Germany and Sweden,
about the topics related to integration of gender perspective in media.
