KARAT represents regional coalition of organizations and women and men individuals advocating for reaching gender equality in Central and Eastern Europe, and countries of former Soviet Union. B&H Office of Working Group for Gender Equality
Working Group for Gender Equality within the Stability Pact (GTF SP) was founded in November 1999, as the results of demands of women from 150 nongovernmental organizations, governmental and parliamentary representatives, and women political activists from the Central and South Eastern Europe, signed and sent to the participants and founders of the Stability Pact for Southeastern Europe.
Created in 1991, NEWW represents international network for communication and resources that supports dialogue, exchange of information, and activism of organizations, groups, and individuals that are working on the issues related to the status of women in Central and Eastern Europe, newly independent states and Russian Federation. NEWW coordinates researches and public advocacy actions for equality of women and their full participation in all aspects of public and private life. NEWW is nongovernmental organization that has special consultative status with Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, and gathers members from 30 countries in the region.
